These thumbnail images will link you to photographic essays I created in 2006. 

The camera is my third eye. It lets me see things that my own two eyes both see and do not or cannot see. I record what I see, but the record is both more and less. More, not only in the capability of the camera to freeze and magnify a subject, but also in that I can manipulate the scene to my taste in Photoshop as a photographer of the past could do so in a darkroom, cropping, correcting, and optimizing both to faithfully reflect what I saw and felt (or remember that I saw and felt) and to present it in the best possible esthetic and visual light. Yet--it is less, for the same reasons.

The camera has given me a new outlook on the world. Its third eye has revealed things to me that I have never seen before--or, rather, that I have seen before, but not in the way it lets me see them now.

It is my desire to show you in these images what I have seen with my third eye; and to, perhaps, open your own third eye to what I have seen.
